Lörrach with its 50,000 inhabitants is located in the southwestern corner of Germany. This area is well-known for its pleasant climate – it is the warmest and sunniest German region – its vineyards and southern, almost Mediterranean lifestyle. Thus it is known as the “German Tuscany“. Both the famous Black forest and the river Rhine (Rhine falls at Schaffhausen) are nearby. The area offers plenty of outdoor sports and leisure time possibilities such as kayaking or hiking. The language center is located right between Lörrach and the neighboring Swiss city Basel.

Tuition

Listening, watching and speaking within a playful, creative context form the core of the tuition that is always practice-oriented. The course is supplemented by excursions that are carefully prepared and evaluated in class by the teaching staff.

Leisure Program & Excursions

did's program offers a wide variety of leisure-time activities, sports and sightseeing. The activities – sports and visits – take place during four afternoons per week. On Saturdays full-day excursions take place to destinations like Freiburg or Strasbourg.

Accommodation

Participants stay with selected host families (double rooms with full-board, 1 student per mother tongue per host family). Host families live primarily in quiet neighborhoods on the outskirts of the city.
